This virtual course is designed for NAs who are increasing their scope of Practice within complex consultations, for awareness of the deteriorating patient.
Acute infection and Sepsis are often presented to Primary Care and early recognition and referral to hospital are critical in improving outcomes for the patient. Exploring ‘route, cause, analysis’ in the chain of infection and how this can influence the potential for deterioration.
This session will consider the value of capturing clinical observations, incorporating assessment tools to help to guide the consultation and identify ‘red flags’ for urgent intervention.
