This virtual session is open to all HCAs requiring an annual immunisation update for ongoing CPD. The course will refresh the necessary knowledge and skills for adult immunisations and will revisit existing vaccination skills whilst reviewing governance for immunisations and legal frameworks.
There will be opportunity to update competency frameworks for immunisations with interactive learning through case studies, discussion and a summary quiz to demonstrate the learning. In keeping with the forthcoming flu season, this update will include an annual flu update.

- Understanding the advancing HCA role and its limitations in practice
- National Immunisation standards – to include competency framework
- Revisit PSD / delegation / competency / documentation
- Accountability and responsibility
- An update of the current adult vaccinations being administered in practice
