This half day course is for any Nursing Associates or NQN who will be undertaking ear care in the workplace. It will offer a comprehensive assessment of the ear, exploring anatomy and physiology, the theory of ear care and common ear presentations.
Guided use of the otoscope, incorporating accurate history taking, assessment and management of ear care will be discussed, exploring differential ear presentations and management.
A competency framework will be provided for support and sign off in the workplace.
