This is a free course open to allied health professionals, nurses and nursing associates employed in an NHS GP practice or Primary Care Network within Hampshire and Isle of Wight.

One in 6 people will experience a mental health problem and 1 in 3 people will develop dementia in their lifetime. This course has been designed to offer the clinician foundational knowledge in both Mental Health and Dementia care and will help support the consultation within annual reviews.

Exploring commonly managed conditions such as anxiety and depression the workshop will discuss how to recognise signs and symptoms and signpost patients appropriately.

The afternoon will focus on the umbrella term of Dementia and explore how to support patients in Primary Care.
