Mission Statement

"Our courses will provide induction and preceptorship for all staff through to specialist skills courses, leadership and courses for your own wellbeing. You will leave our courses feeling revitalised, motivated and prepared to deliver high quality safe patient care."

J2S training was established over a decade ago with a vision to develop enjoyable, interactivce, non-threatening courses that are supported with workbooks and access to the trainer’s post learning to ensure the learner has the best possible experience and achieves their learning outcomes.

We are two nurses who met during our student nurse training at QA hospital in the 1980’s. We became best friends and shared a goal of providing the best patient care through developing our clinical knowledge and expertise. As well as sharing a career we also share the same name, and are often referred to as "the two Julia’s".

We both have a career that spans over 25 years of working in general practice linking closely with our, then PCT to develop joint roles for ourselves as Modern Matrons for General Practice and Health and Wellbeing in addition to working in the practice as Nurse Practitioners and independent prescribers. We became aware of the strategic health services and the importance of collaborative working/ leadership.

As we developed J2S Training we were fortunate to win tenders and begin our journey of providing training across Wessex for the LMC, Health Education England, Bournemouth University, Wiseguy training and direct bespoke provision of courses for Solent NHS, Southern NHS, CCGs across the STP and further. We have developed networks with likeminded lead professionals who share similar visions whilst still firmly rooted in General Practice itself.

We are passionate about upskilling both registered and non-registered workforce as we see primary care working in an integrated approach to provide high quality, competency-based care for patients.
