Julia Judd RGN Bsc
Julia qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1989 and has enjoyed a diverse career working in the emergency department and acute surgical wards before settling on a career in primary care.
With 18 years experience in Primary Care Julia is a nurse practitioner and independent prescriber with skills in practice nursing and management of long term conditions.
Julia has been a clinical matron for health and well being for the past three years working across both primary care and adult mental health services. This innovative role has culminated in a prestigious Nursing Times award in 2008 and a further nomination in 2009.
Julia has been influential in providing physical health educational programmes for mental health clinicians and has developed training modules for NVQ qualifications specific to mental health.
Julia continues to work as a clinician in General Practice and facilitates mentorship and induction programmes for new practice nurses.
